Research Paper Topic

For my research paper I plan on taking a in-depth analysis of Netflix (New Media) vs. The television (Old Media). While both have managed to stay relevant, I will be trying to find out if they will always co-exist or if one will takeover as the new blueprint to how we watch our media. While Netflix's is relatively new to the industry it has soared as a top competitor and also a option many people choose rather than paying for cable. Also Netflix has the capability to stream onto almost any device, the television has its major benefits like the the ability to watch programs live. In order to find out who reigns supreme, I will be weighing the economical, technological, sociological benefits of both sides.
